Remembering another way...of life
The boys were still in my tender love and care...
Brian coming home through the door and to the chair...
So many memories ebb and flow...
A time when life seemed so nice and slow...
Yes, life does change, just as a beautiful rose...
Whenever I come here to this side of the Bay...
I remember all of those wonderful days...
I used to cry so, so much when I would come here...
Now, a slight tear, a tug of the heart, and feeling the memories so near...
The boys are grown men with lives of their own...
Brian, he lies, with his long ago laid, tombstone...
Here I am still here...well, yet ready to fly...
I go back to a place that is so full of love for me...so I say goodbye...
To this side of the Bay for now...
With hopes of, what I hope will be a new beginning...a new now...a new vow...
For my life...
I've lived so long in such sorrowful pain...
That I am ready to begin again...
A new story, chapter in my book of all my own...
Oh children of mine, you are always with me...
Yet, now mom needs to finally move on...to be free
From the pain of what used to be...
A rose begins as a bud...
It slowly opens each day...
Until, it is a fabulous, beautiful bloom...
In the heart, there begins a brand new room...
For an another piece of wonderful life...
For the leaving behind...the strife
Perhaps, new love...
Perhaps, things one could only hope to dream of...
The next page of a dove...
